Little Gregs Pre-school opened in September 2008 in the grounds of St. Gregory’s Catholic Primary School in the Heart of Stratford-upon-Avon. Little Gregs Pre-school is an independent, charity run setting and is not connected to St Gregory's Catholic Primary School. 

We are open Term time only, we offer both sessional and all day care for children from 2 years of age. 

Our Aim 

To create a welcoming, caring and stimulating environment where parents, carers and practitioners work together to help children feel happy and safe supporting them to develop and grow.

To value and respect each unique child, creating positive opportunities, learning through play encouraging independence and decision making.

Allowing children time and space to discover and engage in different types of play that reflect their individual needs, developing self-confidence and individual abilities, in a safe and happy environment.

Safeguarding

At Little Gregs Pre-School, safeguarding children, families and employees is of paramount importance to us.  All employees at Little Gregs work with children, parents, external agencies and the wider community to ensure the welfare and safety of our children.

To ensure the best possible practices and support for everyone we have two Designated Safeguarding Leads who are responsible for the safeguarding of your children, parents and employees whilst they are in our care. We offer an open door policy which allows opportunity for confidential discussion and support to those who require it.

All of our staff receive child protection training which is updated and reviewed at regular staff meetings.

All staff and new employees require to have an Enhanced Disclosure DBS check made and new staff require two references.

Our Premises at Little Gregs are extremely secure and we work on a password system for each child.

Use of mobile phones is not permitted on the premises  by staff, parents or visitors, all mobile phones are locked away in secure lockers, where staff may access them at lunch breaks.

We continue to risk assess  our building, equipment and school outings which are reviewed and updated when necessary.
